Healing Herbs and Herbal Supplements

Myth 1: All Herbal Products are Pure and Natura. The fact is, some unscrupulous manufacturers alter the ingredients of their products. They even use chemicals if the genuine herb is on shortage. Myth #2: Herbal Products have no Side-effects. Some herbal supplements and products contain mercury sulfide. Although most herbs essentially contain natural chemical components that have healing properties, you must be aware that they have possible risks, too.
Myth 3: Vitamins and Herbal Supplements are guaranteed to be safe. You are capable of overdosing on vitamins and herbal supplements. It is common knowledge that China is the source of the world's best herbal products, but so are the worst of these, too. What matters is how these herbs are selected and processed. Traditional recipes for these herbs must also be strictly adhered to. Myth #4: China's Herbal Cures are scarce. If you have sufficient knowledge, you can actually find some of these herbal cures in your backyard! True, some herbal cures are exclusively found in China, but there are also thousands of herbal species all over the world that are proven scientifically to have healing components.

Myth 5: All Herbs are basically the same. Herbs used for herbal supplements have different components and make-up. If all herbs are the same then we wouldn't need to make choices as only one herb is all-purpose!
Myth 6: Natural Herbs can only be found in forests. Also in stores such as New Age stores. They are a great place to find herbs. It is only the scheme of every company to make the consumers believe that herbs for herbal supplements are very rare. Otherwise, thousands of people will not buy and resort to the use of their products.
Myth 7: Herbs are not FDA-approved for healing. Majority resort to herbal supplements for many sorts of ailments and maintenance of health and it is one of the huge and lucrative money-making industries. Being so, the FDA is controlling the use of herbal supplements and they want to regulate it. Simply put, the FDA is aware that herbal supplements and treatments is basically a billion dollar empire and they want their share!
Myth 8: All herbal pills are safe. Common sense and the use of herbal supplements should go together, too. Manufacturers may claim that herbal supplements are safe for use, but they can also be potentially abused. Herbs can possibly cause harm if not taken properly or by individuals with certain health conditions. It is best to consult with your doctor and carefully read about herbal supplements before taking them.
